Fandom osmosis is a funny thing. Despite having never seen any more Dr. Who than the Blink episode, last night I had a fairly lengthy dream involving Rory Pond and Ten. I’m sure that there were various things inaccurate to them, but it had them running to the TARDIS away from some men trying to arrest them, and jumping into it at the last minute, and Amy Pond saying “The Tardis loves him (Dr Who of course) and will protect him!” which is all an amusing sort of level of detail about a fandom that I have NEVER REALLY WATCHED.
Me when I find a new actor/actress
because sometimes i’m reminded how much i love this actor and this role oh paul
Kirsty Mitchell’s late mother Maureen was an English teacher who spent her life inspiring generations of children with imaginative stories and plays. Following Maureen’s death from a brain tumour in 2008, Kirsty channelled her grief into her passion for photography.
She retreated behind the lens of her camera and created Wonderland, an ethereal fantasy world. The photographic series began as a small summer project but grew into an inspirational creative journey.
‘Real life became a difficult place to deal with, and I found myself retreating further into an alternative existence through the portal of my camera,’ said the artist. (read the rest here).
Not POI but I couldn’t not reblog just wow

So….. confused. Decima seems to know all about the Machine and also seems to grok that there really is no Ernest Thornhill, right?
SO WHY ARE THEY EXPENDING MANPOWER AND DRONES TO BOMB AN EMPTY CAR?
lol so i guess the lesson here is ‘true love turns harold birdname into a bigger asshole than before’ k cool
srsly not even sure how i’m feeling about this ep right now, just sort of chinhanding and dwelling in the event horizon land of being unsure whether i’m irritated because a) the writing is good enough to make me invested despite myself or b) the writing is that bad ?????
/probably reserving judgment properly until next week. probably.
So this is simultaneously hilarious as hell and also made me DEEPLY SAD because goddammit, sometimes I go whole days forgetting about how MUCH I miss Alicia Corwin >:[ and you reminded me of it. fucking hell.
Wait… you want consistent characterization from writers who think they can get away with leaving snow on the ground for scenes that were supposed to be on Long Island in July? ;-)
Yeah, actually, I do. :P
I mean, I really wish the editors did pay more attention to things like that— to the underpinning details of logic and continuity— but on the whole that doesn’t BREAK my belief in a show. Just like stupid plotlines and artificial tension annoy me, but if the characters sell it to me, I’ll still watch it.
Things like inconsistent characterization, on the other hand, are a dealbreaker for me.
Thoughts, thoughts, thoughtses, my precious.
